Rho Sigma is Ouachita's oldest fraternity. Formed largely by the 1934 Tiger football team and other campus leaders, the Red Shirts were created to promote Ouachita and Tiger Spirit.

Rho Sigma was the first social club officially recognized by Ouachita. It was chartered on March 6, 1935 with 25 members. From the beginning, our Founders sought as members men from every walk of campus life. Rho Sigma has always promoted unity without uniformity. There is no "Red Shirt type."

The slides at the left barely scratch the surface of what we do. Red Shirts pride themselves on being one of the most active organizations on campus. Our annual events include:
