Red Shirts Believe in ... ATHLETICS

Rho Sigma strongly believes in the values of physical fitness and athletic competition. We believe intramural and varsity athletics builds character, courage, confidence, perserverance, teamwork and sportsmanship. Red Shirts and Tiger athletics have become practically synonymous to most Ouachitonians. Rho Sigma has provided more varsity athletes than all of the other fraternities combined. We have also built the best intramural sports record of any campus organization over the years, winning more championships and consistently ranking higher than any other fraternity. Along the way we posted the longest win streak in intramural football (more than 30 games), and the most consecutive championships in both football and softball. In 1953, we became the first fraternity to win the Intramural All-Sports Trophy. We believe "a healthy mind in a healthy body" is important to a well-rounded education. Besides, sports are fun!
