Red Shirts Believe in ... BROTHERHOOD

Rho Sigma is not some kind of social clique. We seek to foster friendship among all students and brotherhood among our members. We were the first fraternity on campus to sponsor campuswide social events -- a tradition we merrily continue to this day. We also believe that we have a responsibility to serve our fellow man. To this end, we have built the best record of campus and community service of ANY campus organization at OBU. We have sought diversity and protected the right to individuality since our formation in 1935, long before other fraternities climbed onto the bandwagon. We also have always fought for fair play and justice for ALL students, even when doing so is unpopular. Maybe that explains why being a Red Shirt creates a special bond of brotherhood that is stronger than that found in other fraternities. That brotherhood is for life, or as the saying goes, "Once a Red Shirt, always a Red Shirt." It's something that is difficult to comprehend from the outside, and difficult to fully explain from the inside. Being a Red Shirt is something that one must experience to understand.
